Why Microsoft Teams Is The Number One Remote Collaboration Tool For Business

Ever heard of Skype For Business? As a predecessor to Microsoft Teams, it lost the attention required to perform as a leading collaborative tool for companies globally. Instead, Microsoft has released Teams, a newer, reshaped tool that syncs directly with Office 365.

When comparing it to Zoom, it is easy to say both are great choices for business, but Teams has the edge - it is tied into the Office 365 suite and Outlook emails available to companies, the mobile app is just as great, and Teams meetings allow texts while you are calling - Something Zoom is yet to implement into its service.

Users in Teams can be assigned contact “channels”, and businesses can utilise these to manage different departments, such as sales, accounts, HR and customer service. Microsoft Teams also allows up to 250 participants in meetings, with the option of screen sharing and customised backgrounds for added effect.

Recently, Microsoft Teams has been made available for free, for those that would like to make group video and audio calls, although, this is the only option free users are limited to. It is expected Microsoft will roll out more features for those who don’t wish to pay, but Teams is definitely worth the money if you need a collaborative tool for your business, no matter how big or small.
